Penetration-grade bitumen 60/70 and 80/100 from BHD Chemical
Bitumen is a heavy petroleum binder. Buyers grade it by how hard it is, measured by how far a standard needle sinks into a sample. BHD Chemical supplies bitumen 60/70 and 80/100, both penetration grades. We do not offer a loose list of grades. We name each grade and publish the values behind it.
For procurement teams, that means a quotation starts from a fixed point: the grade you need, 60/70 or 80/100, your volume and your destination. For materials engineers, it means every property in the specification table can be checked against the grade your project calls for before any commercial discussion begins.
The specification, set out plainly
The grade table on this page carries each grade's approved values, side by side. Each figure is stated as a minimum, a maximum or a range, so it reads the same way a tender document does.
Consistency, temperature behaviour, purity and stability
Penetration, softening point, ductility, flash point, solubility, loss on heating and density are stated per grade in the grade table on this page — 60/70 and 80/100 side by side, each column read from that grade's own technical data sheet. Nothing here restates a number the table already carries.
Documentation and how we quote
We quote and supply bitumen on request. Tell us the grade, the volume you need, your delivery destination and any tender reference. We will reply with a quotation built around those details. If you are still checking compliance, ask for the full specification sheet first.
Packaging, delivery terms and lead time are set for each order and confirmed in writing. We do not publish general promises that might not match your contract.
One accountable house behind the product
BHD Group works as two divisions under one house: BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing. Bitumen sits with BHD Chemical, along with our waxes, rubber process oils, carbon black and industrial chemicals. If you are asking whether we are a real trading house or a broker making vague offers, this page is our answer: a named division, defined grades and published values.
You can see the rest of the range, including Paraffin Wax, Slack Wax and Petroleum Jelly, on our products page. When you are ready, request a bitumen quote for the grade you need.
