Key characteristics

Semi-refined wax that retains oil, stated plainly for the buyer

Turkish-origin supply with origin integrity from one accountable house

Every specification value is published in the technical data sheet

Handled across two divisions, BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing

Quoted against your volume, destination and delivery window

Part of the BHD waxes family alongside paraffin wax and petroleum jelly

Semi-refined slack wax, stated plainly

Slack wax is a semi-refined wax that keeps a meaningful share of oil. Our grade carries an oil content of 10 - 16 %wt, per the technical data sheet. We say this up front so buyers can check the fit before they ask for a quote.

Slack wax is not a substitute for higher-refinement waxes. If your process needs a low-oil wax, none of these grades is the right one, and we will tell you so rather than quote it anyway.

What buyers check before they order

For procurement: spec, origin and an accountable house

A procurement lead needs published values with a named source, a clear origin and a direct quote route. Every value on this page comes from our TDS. The wax is Turkish-origin, and it is handled by BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing: two divisions, one house, one point of accountability.

For production and blending technologists: the values that shape a blend

Oil content, melt point and kinematic viscosity decide how a slack wax behaves in a paraffin and slack wax blend. The specification table sets out oil content, melt point, flash point, viscosity and colour as published in the TDS. Request the TDS to share with your formulation team.

For distributors and blenders: repeat supply from one source

Distributors building repeat supply need a single, consistent published specification and a house they can hold to it. We quote each order on its volume, destination and delivery window, and we do not promise timelines or volumes we cannot meet.

For cosmetics raw-material buyers: an honest semi-refined position

For cream and balm bases, the key question is oil content and colour. Both are stated in the TDS: oil content 10 - 16 %wt and colour 1.5 - 2.0. Review them with your formulation team against your own raw-material spec before you order.

Where slack wax sits in our wax range

Slack wax belongs to our waxes family, alongside paraffin wax, petroleum jelly and PE wax. BHD also supplies industrial ranges including bitumen, carbon black and rubber process oils. Each is quoted and supplied on request.

Frequently asked questions

What is the oil content of your slack wax?

The oil content is 10 - 16 %wt, as published in our technical data sheet. This is a semi-refined wax, so check that value against your process before you order.

What melt points and viscosities do the slack wax grades have?

They differ by grade. The grade table on this page lists every grade's specification side by side, exactly as its technical data sheet states it — oil content and kinematic viscosity on every sheet; melting or congealing point, flash point and colour where a sheet states them — and every row links its own technical data sheet.

Is this slack wax suitable if I need a low-oil grade?

No. Slack wax is a semi-refined wax with the oil content stated above. If your formulation needs higher-refinement grades, we will say so rather than quote this one.

How do I get a quote, and what should I include?

Send the grade, your volume, your destination and your delivery window. We quote each enquiry on those details, including MOQ, lead time and Incoterms for your order.

Can I get the technical data sheet?

Yes. The slack wax TDS is available on request, so you can share it with your production or formulation team.

Who is accountable for supply?

BHD is one accountable house with two divisions, BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing. The wax is Turkish-origin, and your enquiry is handled directly by the house, not through a broker.

If the grade you need is not listed here, tell us the specification and volume and BHD Sourcing will find it — request a quote.

Why buyers work with BHD Group

Two divisions operate under a single accountable house. There is no handoff between a trading desk and a sourcing desk that leaves a buyer chasing an answer — one team owns the order from enquiry to delivery.
