Waxes
BHD Chemical supplies semi refined wax products across one family: paraffin wax, slack wax, petroleum jelly, PE wax, liquid paraffin and residue wax (foots oil). Each grade serves a different point on the refining curve, from raw blending stock to finished container and mourning candle wax. Compare grades against your application before you order — the table below sets out where each one is used.
Paraffin Wax
The workhorse of the range, used across economy/utility candles, container candles and textile-yarn paraffin. Buyers moving between HP3, M3 and UL2 tiers should check the comparison table for the grade that matches their pour and finish.
- Suits container and mourning candle production
- Available across standard commercial tiers
Slack Wax
The base-stock grade in the family, used for slack-wax blending and packaging wax where a refined finish is not the requirement. It is the entry point for buyers building their own wax blends rather than buying finished product.
- Suited to blending programs, not direct pour
- A packaging wax option for industrial use
Petroleum Jelly
Supplied to cosmetics and personal-care formulators for creams and balms. Tier selection — including Snow White and Super Snow White grades — should be checked against the comparison table before specifying.
- Formulated for creams and balms
- Multiple White-tier grades to compare
PE Wax, Liquid Paraffin and Residue Wax (Foots Oil)
These round out the family for buyers with a specific process or blending need rather than a finished-candle application. Ask our team which grade fits your process before you commit a spec.
- Process and blending grades within the same family
- Specified against your own formulation, not a catalogue default
See the grade comparison table for specs and origin, then contact BHD Chemical to confirm the right grade for your run.
