The three documents

Certificate of Analysis (CoA)

The batch-level test result for the goods you ordered — issued against your confirmed spec and provided ahead of or alongside shipment.

Technical Data Sheet (TDS)

The reference profile for a product — typical properties and handling notes — shared during quoting so you can confirm fit before you order.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

The handling, storage and transport safety information for the product, provided so your team and carriers can handle it correctly on arrival.

How documentation follows the goods

BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing treat the spec as the starting point, not an afterthought. Before an order is confirmed, the buyer's required properties are checked against the batch we intend to ship — for paraffin wax, petroleum jelly, slack wax, bitumen, PE wax, or any product across the two divisions. Nothing moves against a spec that has not been confirmed.

What accompanies a shipment

A certificate of analysis wax buyers can check against their own spec is prepared for the batch allocated to the order, alongside the technical data sheet and safety data sheet relevant to that product. These documents travel with the shipment or are issued ahead of it, so the paperwork is in hand before the goods are.

What you can request

Buyers can ask for the certificate of analysis, technical data sheet, and safety data sheet for any product before ordering — not only after. This lets a candle maker checking a paraffin wax grade, or a compounder checking a rubber process oil, confirm fit before committing to volume.

Frequently asked questions

What is a certificate of analysis, and do I get one for wax orders?

A certificate of analysis is the batch-level test result for the goods you ordered, checked against your confirmed spec. It is prepared for wax, oil, and chemical batches alike and provided ahead of or alongside shipment.

Is BHD wax semi-refined or a higher grade?

Paraffin wax and slack wax are semi-refined and sold as such; petroleum jelly is supplied as a highly refined white petrolatum. We do not market any grade as more than it is.

Can I get the technical data sheet before I place an order?

Yes. The technical data sheet is shared during quoting, before commitment, so you can confirm the product fits your application.

Does every product family come with the same three documents?

Yes. Certificate of analysis, technical data sheet, and safety data sheet apply across the catalogue — waxes, industrial chemicals, polymers, rubber process oils, and carbon black.

What happens if the batch doesn't match the confirmed spec?

The spec is confirmed against the batch before dispatch, and documentation is checked against what is actually loaded, so a mismatch is caught before shipment, not after.

Request a certificate of analysis wax sample and specification sheet before you commit to volume. BHD Chemical and BHD Sourcing confirm the spec first — then ship. Contact the desk to start.

Why buyers work with BHD Group

Two divisions operate under a single accountable house. There is no handoff between a trading desk and a sourcing desk that leaves a buyer chasing an answer — one team owns the order from enquiry to delivery.
